When spring hits the Southern California landscape, the hills dance with speckled lights of green. There is no doubt you can find me painting at this park several days out of the year. It is quiet, serene, and exceptionally beautiful. Below is a poem I wrote dedicated to the local area of the Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Park called Rancho Sierra Vista. Enjoy!

Pastures of Green fill me to the brim, squeeze my soul til its last drop of freedom.
Pour me a cup of love and more for I cannot contain this feeling.
Those eyes, reflect a green lit meadow waiting to be tasted, waiting to be touched , waiting to roll down the mountains of love.
Potrero those eyes seep tears of joy, thy skin sediment rich, pollinating my mind yearning to be trodden explored and adored. - JOHN GALAN
