Greetings all! I’ve had the opportunity to paint for #trashedcoachella . I want to give a big shout and thank you to @globalinheritance for selecting me to paint a recycling bin! Many of my students, followers, friends and family have enjoyed seeing sneak peaks of work in progress. As I’ve painted the sorrows away I’ve learned that my food organ series have developed new meanings. Now more than ever do we need to be mindful of the world and our community. In order for us to thrive we must take care of each other. Please be sure to continue to practice #socialdistancing, but know that it’s is important for your mental health to connect with each other. Text, call, FaceTime, zoom, get creative with the google hangouts! The human race is loving, strong, and smart. Let’s be mindful of how we treat others and ourselves. This corn brain or cerebro de Huitlacoche symbolizes WISDOM. It demonstrates the balance of creativity, power, and mental health. I miss you all! And I can’t wait to see all of your beautiful masked faces! Te quiero mucho! Although I’m saddened that Coachella has been canceled, it was the right choice to postpone it until next year. I have been invited back next year to share my Trashed Coachella recycling bin and I can't wait to share this piece with the world!
